Hi.
We're the Johnson family. I'm Brittany, the main writer behind this blog, and I'd like to introduce you to Caleb (my husband), and my three beautiful sons, Griffin (6), Maddock (2), and Wolfe (7 months). We live on a couple of acres of southern Wisconsin countryside just outside of Madison, which is far more beautiful than most people know about. I am a photographer...a family, wedding, & promotional photographer...but probably the coolest thing about my business, Reverie Photography, is the countryside studio we built on our property that I operate out of. We are a family that sticks together, that loves each other, and works hard to create meaningful space to grow together in.
So, what is this blog? What is Reverie Home Collective? Well, truth is, we just sort of live by our own rules out here and it was time to share that with everyone. Reverie Photography was just my photo business, but I really wanted to share our LIFE in a creative way. From the homeschooling to the beautiful home projects we take on to our intentional parenting strategies to how we handle food allergies. Yeah, food allergies. Our eldest, Griffin, has had a long list of food allergies from birth and we've had to change our entire life to accommodate those allergies. Recipes, lifestyle choices, learning how to be prepared...we want to take what we've learned and help other families with that knowledge as well.
Okay, so the Reverie Home part is making sense, but why "Collective"? Because I have PLANS. I have guest writers lined up in my head that I can't wait to introduce you to, I have an incredibly talented husband that will get on here and share his project designs with you, I have brilliant friends that are succeeding in their own creative endeavors that I want to feature and share here. This will truly be a collective space for us all to learn and share together...and I can't wait to see what comes of it.
Thank you so much for joining us and I hope you will let us know if you are enjoying what we share or if you have wonderful ideas or thoughts for how we can be better.

That Being Said...
I am not doing this blog alone. This is a wonderful partnership between my sister, Stefanie, and I, and she is the behind-the-scenes queen. With my work, and three beautiful but insane children, starting the blog on my own was never going to happen. Not only am I incredibly close with my sister, but she is a blog know-it-all, and while I may provide the content, she is the one who knows what I need to do with it and when it's just plain not good enough to share. She keeps this freight train chugging along on the right rails. It's so fun to do this with her and I'm incredibly grateful that we're doing it together.
Wanna talk directly?
Shoot us an email and tell us which sister you like better.
